SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 6PM


The Board Meeting for Sunrise Homeowners Association was held on September 24, 2020.  Board members in attendance for the meeting were Kim, Tom, Woody and Dave.  Britt was absent.   Kat Betts, the representative from the Management Company was also in attendance. The meeting was held by Zoom Virtual Meeting due to COVID-19.


CALL TO ORDER:  The meeting was officially called to order at 6:02 pm.


MINUTES: The August meeting minutes were reviewed.  Motion by Kim to approve seconded by Tom, all approved.

FINANCIALS:  August financials were reviewed.  Motion by Kim to accept the financials, seconded by Tom.  All approved.  


OLD BUSINESS:  There is a home with wire fencing that are completing an actual wood fence.   The supplies are in short supply at this time, but it is in progress.  Beautification project phase one is completed.   Woody will come up with designs for the landscaping for next year’s project, this would include the areas of Meisinger and Cedar Island.  Discussed potential easement issues with related properties.   To be continued until next month’s meeting.  The new insurance policy is now in effect and the annual premium has been paid.   Kat did contact State Farm to cancel the previous policy and the pro rated refund will be coming back to the HOA.  No other old business at this time.


NEW BUSINESS:  Snow Removal.  Discussion if the snow removal should be along 25th Street only or also include Meisinger.  Motion by Tom for Kat to obtain 3 quotes for snow removal along 25th Street only.  Kim will get Kat a name of a contractor she uses and Kat will get two other bids as well.  Woody amended the motion to include Meisinger Road snow removal as well.  The amended motion was not seconded, and is considered dead.  Original motion by Tom, seconded by Dave, for snow removal to only be performed along 25th Street from Meisinger to Gilmore Lake.   

ANNUAL MEETING:  Postcards for cancellation of the annual meeting have been sent out.  The budget for 2020 will remain the same for 2021.  The annual HOA dues will remain at $75.00 per year.  The Board will revisit the possibility of having an annual meeting after the 1st of the year, pending COVID-19.


YARD OF THE MONTH:  Kim to send the September winner to Kat.
